China is recruiting actors of all types world wide for the booming commercial and film market there. If you do not mind the lack of union, no insurance and long hours, the money and exposure is great. The actors become celebrities, and you do not need to be a foreign star to be successful. Many Americans play foreign experts, reliable sources, trustworthy, credible. It helps to speak Chinese, but you do not have to. They find talent the old fashioned way, by going to plays, night clubs, acting schools and, a twist, language schools. If you are half Chinese and half Caucasion, you have the told ticket. -NPR News
