China ႏွင့္ Myanmar ႏုိင္ငံ- Container Service ကုိ January လေႏွာင္းပုိင္းတြင္စတင္မည္။ CSCL, MCC to launch China–Myanmar services- by Angela Yu 20 January 2015 China Shipping Container Lines (CSCL) and MCC Transport, an Intra-Asia carrier of the Maersk Group, will be launching new services connecting China and Myanmar in late January. Four 1,00teu box ships will be deployed by CSCL for the Burma Express (CMX) service, which is to call at Shanghai, Ningbo, Ho Chi Minh, Singapore and Yangon starting 25 January. MCC will launch eight 1,100teu container ships for this new service, scheduled to call at Singapore and Port Klang, according to Hong Kong media. The new route will provide Chinese exporters and importers with a stable service, a CSCL spokesman told Hong Kong media. The containerised cargo volume is expected to have grown 30% last year to 350,000teu, he added China is Myanmars largest trade partner, with two-way trade reaching $6Bn in 2013, according to data from the Chinese government, Chinas exports to the country amounted to over $3Bn in 2013, and imports stood at nearly $3Bn. Chinas exports to Myanmar were mainly vehicles and car parts, steel and electric products. Currently, Yangon Port is accessible to vessels of 167m overall length, 9m draft, and 15,000dwt, according to Myanmars Ministry of Transport. This means only small vessels can call directly at this port.
