Chinas largest oilfield to cut production in 2015 Daqing Oilfield, Chinas largest oilfield, is set to reduce its production by 1.5 million tonnes starting 2015. Daqing, which is explored by PetroChina, will eventually slash its annual output to 32 million tonnes by 2020 due to limited oil reserves and declining international oil prices, a source told the official Xinhua news agency. Daqing produces nearly one-fourth of Chinas total oil output annually. Daqing has produced more than 2.1 billion tonnes of crude oil since it started production in 1960, Xinhua reported.
