Chinatown should be on every visitors list while in KL. It has amazing street food. Chinatown, based along Petaling Street, [also known as Chee Cheong Kai (Starch Factory Street)], has food and shopping - but the shopping is best descriped as cheap. And they expect people to Bargain down on prices, so never except the first offer. But the food is best descriped as amazing. My favorite Malayasian dish is Tom Yam soup - which is prepared nicely here. You can also get Nasi Lemak - the traditional breakfast dish across the country. But there are many other dishes to choose from that are local to KL.
