SECO Development - Michael Christ As a principal in SECO Developments projects, Mr. Christ is intimately involved in all aspects of development, and is personally in charge of acquisitions and dispositions. He is involved in design, marketing, and financing while maintaining strong relationships with the cities in which he builds. Mr. Christ has a unique ability to identify opportunities and formulate a vision that is consistent with municipalities, local neighborhoods, and financial institutions. With Mr. Christs direction, ability to identify good sites, and work closely with communities, SECO has vested entitlements in record time and created economically viable and profitable developments resulting in vibrant communities in the Puget Sound. The Puget Sound Business Journal ranked SECO Development as one of the largest residential real estate firms in the Puget Sound region by residential sales volume in 2006. SECO Development also ranked #1 in the largest property sale in King County in 2008 with a selling price of $112,000,000. This was an important accomplishment given the timing, as the nation was deep in an economic down turn. Never the less, Mr. Christ was able to complete this highly profitable sale during a time other developers were losing projects to the banks and watching values decline. Throughout his career, Mr. Christ has successfully arranged financing for over $800,000,000. During 2012, Mr. Christ focused on repositioning his real estate portfolio, and refinanced more than $72,250,000 in projects with interest rates in the mid-3.0%. In 2013, he began refurbishing the Bristol apartments, and in 2014 arranged permanent financing for $27,650,000. In November 2014 Mr. Christ will begin construction on the third phase at Southport; a 350-room luxury full service hotel strategically located on the shores of Lake Washington featuring a lounge, fitness club, swimming pool, health spa, restaurants and 30,000 square feet of executive meeting rooms.
