Chinese may want closer ties with India, because of selfish reasons and to expand its influence in the Indian neighbourhood, but it has to stop helping Pakistan against India. China cannot have good relations with India, while instigating Pakistan against India by arming Pakistani Army against India, and doing things that causes concern in New Delhi, like border incursions in Ladak, Statements about Arunachal Pradesh, giving stapled Visas to Indians and not protecting Indian Businessmen in China. China knows well that India can create lot of problems for China in Tibet, Myanmar and in the South China Sea. China cannot play bully everywhere. The recent positive developments in Indias relations with Japan, oil and gas rich Vietnam & Myanmar is causing lot of uneasiness in Beijing. Also recent US willingness to deepen ties with India and making many concessions for India, must be giving Beijing lot to worry about. India should keep up the pressure on China and ask it to vacate Tibet, which it has occupied, and keep Nepal, Sri Lanka, Bhutan under check, where China has been trying to make inroads, is understandably causing discomfort in India.
