Chinese media gives positive signals for good relations with India. Media in China has written extensively about Modi and aftermath of Indian elections. They have written that Modi will follow more pragmatic policies to wards China and Pakistan. Official publication of the ruling Communist Party of China carried articles of Chinese think tank projecting good Sino-Indian relations under Modis rule. It is based on the assessment that Modi as CM of Gujarat had close association with China. He visited China several times to study the Model of fast growth of China and same he tried to replicate in Gujarat. He also brought maximum investment by Chinese in Gujarat. He used to interact with the government functionaries, technocrats, Universities, industrialists, bureaucrats and village communes in China to find out the secret of countrys economic success story. It was the Chinese model of growth which impressed Modi and he brought several changes in his state in decision making and governance to speed up the economic development of Gujarat. During the elections I wrote about the Chinese and Gujarat growth model and compared Modis India with Maos China from economic growth point of view. But some of my FB friends did not like my comparison. But as Khan Wali Khan of NWFP in Pakistan wrote in his book that Facts are always Facts which cannot be bypassed. Now when official think tank of China writes positively about Modis India our think tank and opinion makers in India should also think likewise positively and constructively towards China and develop good neighborly relations with both the neighbors particularly China. In future this is going to redirect the Foreign Policy of India based on mutual trust and respect to their countrys concerns. Diplomacy and dialogue will be keystones of statecraft and protecting the interests of India.
