Chinese style fry chicken. 1 whole chicken 1 lime 2 tbsp grated ginger 1/2 tbsp five spice powder 2 tbsp soy sauce 3 cups oil Wash chicken taking out bits inside. Wash with lime. Rinse and dry. Mix ginger with soy sauce, five spice and rub into chicken. Marinate for at least 1/2 hour. Heat oil in deep pot and fry chicken for 25 mins on medium heat, then turn over and do other side. Drain on paper towels. Sauce for immediate drizzle. 4 tbsp oyster sauce 3 tbsp ketchup 2 tbsp minced ginger 2 tsp minced garlic 1 tbsp oil 1/2 cup water 1 tsp cornstarch Heat oil in pot and add ginger and garlic. Mix water and cornstarch and lay aside. Add ketchup, oyster sauce to pot then cornstarch mix. Stir and leave to thicken, about 5 minutes on low, then drizzle over chopped chicken. Garnish with chive. Enjoy.
