Chishala Mwaba The natives of kampasa would have heed to our advise in 2002 to leave the area after the meeting we had at KK airport. The areas classified illegal settlements in that area were Kampasa, Mablock and Roads Compounds. After we lost the high court case under judge Anthony Nyangulu, the people of Mablock and roads compounds opted to be resettled at Mwanawasa resettlement scheme. Some anti-masebo fanatics like nya Nkhati, Saukani, Make Angela, mai Kacha refused to go to Mwanawasa resettlement scheme at teamed up with the kampasa people. The people who migrated from roads & mablock polluted the normal thinking leadership of kampasa. It is unfortunate Muvi TV does not know the genesis of the kampasa land saga. The kampasa land development committee refused to attend meetings and opted for stone-age analysis instead. Mablock roads settlements were demolished 04 years ago and residents were relocated. Others opted to sell the farms and settled in Mwalubemba, powanga, muyanga & kabulongo villages. Due to stubborn, visionless and non-thinking community leadership in kampasa, it took the shedding of blood for them to move. If they had listened to our advise earlier in 2002 these deaths would have been avoided. No guns were fired when the people of mablock & roads were being evacuated which were just 1 Km from Kampasa. Anarcy is not the best way to solve issues. Anarcy begats anarcy.- Chishala Mwaba, former Secretary: Chinkuli Land development Committee (2001-2005), Chongwe Constituency.
