We all know dark chocolate, especially with almonds, is wholesome. But I find nothing more restorative to my exhausted powers than the smooth and jolting pleasure of a maple cream sliding down my throat. Or a quick bite of peanut butter fudge to lift my spirits and make me a kinder person. Ah - and when Im writing, I go for a cup of hot chocolate, using a spoon covered in chocolate, stirring it as I ponder, licking it, staring off into space as the words climb from my soul to my brain.
