Choke or an esophageal obstruction can have serious complications - TopicsExpress

Choke or an esophageal obstruction can have serious complications for our equine friends. Most of the time there is coughing, their heads are lowered and oddly postured, they make retching noises, and there can be discharge from mouth and/or nostrils. Other chokes can be less dramatic. You might notice them go off feed and posture their necks oddly, but they can be just as serious if not treated.
