Cholesterol and Muscle Building So most of you who hit the gym will be there to pack on muscle. Building bigger guns, a blocky chest or a wide back, you will all be wanting to gain muscle. So what does Cholesterol (CHL) have to do with building muscle? CHL is the building block for all steroid hormones. What this means is that for your body to create any hormone you MUST have CHL to start the process. So if you want to build muscle you need CHL. FACT. Testosterone will eventually be synthesised from CHL and therefore your ability to build muscle tissue will increase! If your wondering about CHL and the common fears people have about it I will answer your questions in another article. But thats not for the scope of this article. Cholesterol is consumed in the food you eat, meat, eggs, poultry, butter/dairy. The quality of the food you eat will have an impact on this process, so make sure you buy high quality meats from your local butcher and not the poor quality mass produced rubbish you buy on supermarket shelves! To summarise.... - make sure you consume high quality meats - this will provide CHL which is essential to produce testosterone - this will increase your ability to pack on muslce!
