Choosing the dresses : Lauren ..Courtenay. and I went to nyc to the showroom of Chan Luu to choose the wedding day fashion.. My role was wedding planner...visionary of the wedding ..the photo layouts.. coloration...the feeling... The Chan Luu showroom is an unbelievable penthouse in nyc..an open space filled with ART..of style.. LOVE infused designs and subtleties of DESIGN that is like no one else..AND an incredible team!! They are like family!! Because of distance and work it was left up to Courtenay and Lauren..and me hovering...Sarah in cali and Katie at work:) We all began to look and allow the feeling of the day... Our way of searching is to pull on a whim and collect on a singular rack...Then after awhile we assess our choices...narrowing down ...discussing..texting...taking photos and trying on... After a little bit of discussion we make the decision on the bridesmaid dresses... the mother of the groom and yess.. even mine ... me ? to dress me as mother of the bride... quite the challenge but quite simple at Chan Luu.. We even chose rehearsal dinner styles for ALL of us... A great success...an easy challenge filled with peace and LOVE... the next style choice... Courtenay and her gown... You want to know? and see into our choices? Well this I can say... the girls will be in a silvery grey the moms in a serene taupe The reason for the colors.. My vision with this wedding ....We need to work with the woods..the greenery ...the trees ...the atmosphere...and with every photo..I want nothing to POP out.. I want a peace and serenity to come through in the photos.. A one with nature sensibility.. Did it hit us what we were doing? We were actually choosing Courtenays wedding? to be honest... yes and no.. We were in a showroom doing what we do all the time... and yet in the back of our minds the choosing was crucial...a scene set for my baby girls day... There were moments we would look at each other knowingly and then moments we were our professional selves who own boutiques.. I know at the end of it we felt fulfilled.. I know when we arrived back at the woods we were giddy with our accomplishments ... and I know this each day takes us closer to her walk down the aisle day and its crazy WOW!! But as I always say ...style from the heart and all will be incredible... There is peace when you have confidence.. and ... This wedding party is so filled with love.. confidence ..smiles and sheer joy...it wouldnt matter what they were wearing because of their glowing hearts... xoxo ps.. we ended the day going to Masons office and meeting his whole team... then he drove us back to Merriewold...a very fulfilling day!!!
