Chris Mengel of Fox Chapel lost his singles match in the morning to Gustavo Guerses of Brazil at the PNC Men’s Futures of Pittsburgh but came back in the afternoon with Duke teammate Jason Tahir to defeat Guerses and Jorge Montero of Chile, 6-4, 6-4 to advance to the Doubles Semifinals on July 4 at the Mt. Lebanon Tennis Center. This match against Americans Hunter Callahan and Devin McCarthy is scheduled for 1 p.m.
