Chris Van Hollen, Democrat - Maryland defends the Child Tax Credit (Federal) against Republican efforts (Paul Ryans budget, Republican- Wisconsin) to do away with it. Older Republicans might be on board with eliminating the Child Tax Credits but for those of us with young families that helps out at the end of the year when we file our tax either with a return or not owing any money back to the government. This is the modus operandi of the Republican party, cut tax incentives like this for working families and shovel those funds towards corporate welfare. Keep in mind this isnt conjecture or speculation like a Benghazi conspiracy being pushed on Fox News. This is an actual budget put forward by a Republican member of the House of Representatives and its being debated in Congress. Its time to educate ourselves on these issues and make informed decisions as to whats in the best interest of our future and our childrens futures.
