Christ Family Devotional Guide by Ps. Bright. Theme: Is anything too hard for the LORD? “And He said, “I will certainly return to you according to the time of life, and behold, Sarah your wife shall have a son.” (Sarah was listening in the tent door which was behind him.) Now Abraham and Sarah were old, well advanced in age; and Sarah had passed the age of childbearing. Therefore Sarah laughed within herself, saying, “After I have grown old, shall I have pleasure, my lord being old also?” And the LORD said to Abraham, “Why did Sarah laugh, saying, ‘Shall I surely bear a child, since I am old?’ Is anything too hard for the LORD? At the appointed time I will return to you, according to the time of life, and Sarah shall have a son.” Gen. 18:10-14. Why did Sarah laugh? Because, Sarah understood the fact of life that scientifically, it is impossible to have a child at that old age when she ceased menstruation. It is unfortunate that Science that is supposed to lead many people to God rather led them astray. Science discovers in parts of the natural but has no solution to the supernatural or the spirit world. Many people are living in bondage because of what doctors told them. A man sold all his properties because doctors told him that his sickness cannot be cured and he will die but later Jesus healed him. How can he retrieve his properties now? Science claims it is impossible but does God say so? Until you reason beyond Science, you cannot receive miracle. I believe this year, God will do greater miracles in the life of whoever declares my prayers, for greater testimonies and your unbelief cannot change anything. The barren will bear children, the sick will be strong, the poor will be rich, the unemployed will be employed, the employee will be employer, the labourer will own his business, the single will marry and unresolved marriages will be reconciled. The devil cannot do anything about it. Meditation: “But Jesus looked at them and said to them, “With men this is impossible, but with God all things are possible.” Math. 19:26. Declaration: Dear LORD, I (full name), I thank You today, for whatever has been declared impossible in my life (name them) is possible with You. As you did for Sarah, I receive greater than that in Jesus Christ name. Amen! Prayer: Daddy LORD, as You visited Sarah and did for her as You had spoken, do it for the above declarer too in Jesus Christ name. Amen! Let the redeemed of the LORD rejoice and say, “Amen” to claim it done.
