Christ Family Devotional Guide by Ps. Bright. Theme: One thing I know! “So they again called the man who was blind, and said to him, “Give God the glory! We know that this Man is a sinner.” He answered and said, “Whether He is a sinner or not I do not know. One thing I know: that though I was blind, now I see.” Jh. 9:24-25. A certain human resource manager employed wrong person for a job because almost all the interview time was wasted to discredit the qualified interviewee. He did not select the right person not based on merit but because of wrong perception that somebody from his tribe could be fraudster. Some people are so desperate to discredit others because of wrong perception. They are not interested to know the truth. In the above Scriptures, the blind man was healed. The critics were not interested in his healing but were so desperate to discredit Jesus and tagged him as a sinner. How could somebody who did good be called a sinner? Listen to the man, “Whether He is a sinner or not I do not know. One thing I know: that though I was blind, now I see.” He did not waste his time to defend his healing on Sabbath or Jesus being a sinner or Messiah. All that he knew was that he was blind, now he could see and nothing else. Beloved! Waste no time to argue about who Christ is or not. His track records or evidence are there for them to see. Whether he is a Jew or an Asian or an African, black or white? I don’t care, one thing I know for sure: I was a sinner, now I am saved through His death and resurrection, nothing more, and nothing less. Do not be like Thomas, who insisted and put his fingers into the wounds of Jesus before he believed that He had resurrected. Jesus said to Thomas, “. . . Blessed are those who have not seen and yet have believed” Jh. 20:29. Meditation: Did I witness the blind sees? The cripple walks? The barren bears child? The brokenhearted comforted? The dead resurrected? The sick healed and many more? That is okay for me to believe. No time for argument! Declaration: Daddy LORD, I (full name), I just want to thank You for your track record. I believe and nothing else, that whatever were impossible in my life (name them), are possible now in Jesus Christ name. Amen! Prayer: Dear LORD, as You did for the blind man, please, do it for the above declarer too in Jesus Christ name. Amen!
