Christ like, After God’s Heart (Bible Study) You Are I Am https://youtube/watch?v=2JI4CPfuLW0 Remind Me Who I Am https://youtube/watch?v=QSIVjjY8Ou8 Bring The Rain https://youtube/watch?v=e8HgAVenbUU How Great thou Art https://youtube/watch?v=pLLMzr3PFgk Good evening, normally I try to keep the Wednesday night study as short as possible; its the middle of the work week, etc, etc. And I will try to do the same tonight. But I got a lot to cover. As always, I hope the midweek finds you well and blessed. We have a lot of reading, a lot of verses to look over in tonights study. So Im thinking it may be easier, if we post Gods witness to the study, His Word in the beginning for anyone to read and reference back to as needed. Ill now post and pause for a moment to look over, and move on with the study. 1 Samuel 13:14 Amplified Bible (AMP) 14 But now your kingdom shall not continue; the Lord has sought out [David] a man after His own [a]heart, and the Lord has commanded him to be prince and ruler over His people, because you have not kept what the Lord commanded you. Acts 13:22 Amplified Bible (AMP) 22 And when He had deposed him, He raised up David to be their king; of him He bore witness and said, I have found David son of Jesse a man after My own heart, who will do all My will and carry out My program fully. Hosea 6:6 Amplified Bible (AMP) 6 For I desire and delight in dutiful steadfast love and goodness, not sacrifice, and the knowledge of and acquaintance with God more than burnt offerings. Isaiah 1:11-17 Amplified Bible (AMP) 11 To what purpose is the multitude of your sacrifices to Me [unless they are the offering of the heart]? says the Lord. I have had enough of the burnt offerings of rams and the fat of fed beasts [without obedience]; and I do not delight in the blood of bulls or of lambs or of he-goats [without righteousness]. 12 When you come to appear before Me, who requires of you that your [unholy feet] trample My courts? 13 Bring no more offerings of vanity (emptiness, falsity, vainglory, and futility); [your hollow offering of] incense is an abomination to Me; the New Moons and Sabbaths, the calling of assemblies, I cannot endure—[it is] iniquity and profanation, even the solemn meeting. 14 Your New Moon festivals and your [hypocritical] appointed feasts My soul hates. They are an oppressive burden to Me; I am weary of bearing them. 15 And when you spread forth your hands [in prayer, imploring help], I will hide My eyes from you; even though you make many prayers, I will not hear. Your hands are full of blood! 16 Wash yourselves, make yourselves clean; put away the evil of your doings from before My eyes! Cease to do evil, 17 Learn to do right! Seek justice, relieve the oppressed, and correct the oppressor. Defend the fatherless, plead for the widow. Amos 5:21-24 Amplified Bible (AMP) 21 I hate, I despise your feasts, and I will not smell a savor or take delight in your solemn assemblies. 22 Though you offer Me your burnt offerings and your cereal offerings, I will not accept them, neither will I look upon the peace or thank offerings of your fatted beasts. 23 Take away from Me the noise of your songs, for I will not listen to the melody of your harps. 24 But let justice run down like waters and righteousness as a mighty and ever-flowing stream. Micah 6:6-8 Amplified Bible (AMP) 6 With what shall I come before the Lord and bow myself before God on high? Shall I come before Him with burnt offerings, with calves a year old? 7 Will the Lord be pleased with thousands of rams or with ten thousands of rivers of oil? Shall I give my firstborn for my transgression, the fruit of my body for the sin of my soul? 8 He has showed you, O man, what is good. And what does the Lord require of you but to do justly, and to love kindness and mercy, and to humble yourself and walk humbly with your God? 2 Samuel 9:1-13 Amplified Bible (AMP) And David said, Is there still anyone left of the house of Saul to whom I may show kindness for Jonathan’s sake? 2 And of the house of Saul there was a servant whose name was Ziba. When they had called him to David, he said to him, Are you Ziba? He said, I, your servant, am he. 3 The king said, Is there not still someone of the house of Saul to whom I may show the [unfailing, unsought, unlimited] mercy and kindness of God? Ziba replied, Jonathan has yet a son who is lame in his feet. 4 And the king said, Where is he? Ziba replied, He is in the house of Machir son of Ammiel in Lo-debar. 5 Then King David sent and brought him from the house of Machir son of Ammiel at Lo-debar. 6 And Mephibosheth son of Jonathan, the son of Saul, came to David and fell on his face and did obeisance. David said, Mephibosheth! And he answered, Behold your servant! 7 David said to him, Fear not, for I will surely show you kindness for Jonathan your father’s sake, and will restore to you all the land of Saul your father [grandfather], and you shall eat at my table always. 8 And [the cripple] bowed himself and said, What is your servant, that you should look upon such a dead dog as I am? 9 Then the king called to Ziba, Saul’s servant, and said to him, I have given your master’s son [grandson] all that belonged to Saul and to all his house. 10 And you shall till the land for him, you, your sons, and your servants, and you shall bring in the produce, that your master’s heir may have food to eat; but Mephibosheth, your master’s son [grandson], shall eat always at my table. Now Ziba had fifteen sons and twenty servants. 11 Then Ziba said to the king, Your servant will do according to all my lord the king commands. So Mephibosheth ate at David’s table as one of the king’s sons. 12 Mephibosheth had a young son whose name was Micha. And all who dwelt in Ziba’s house were servants to Mephibosheth. 13 So Mephibosheth dwelt in Jerusalem, for he ate continually at the king’s table, [even though] he was lame in both feet. Yes I know thats a lot of text to cover, this is a big subject to cover. Now we will begin. It is said that David is a man after Gods own heart. God said that. David committed as much sin as any man that ever lived. So how could this be? With that question, I could end this Bible study right now. David, had a heart that desired mercy. As you see, as was custom of the time and era, David should have killed any living family member of blood relation to Saul, but David did not do that. Not only did David not kill anyone, that could have challenged his right to the throne of Israel, David brought them in and prospered them. David had every right, under the traditions of men to show no mercy and kill this man. Nothing would have been said. David prospered this man, David restored this man to the birthright that he had. And so did God to you. Now you’re gonna ask, what is the connection between, God and you? What if this man did not come before David, when David called for him? Would he have been restored? Could he have received the mercy that was waiting for him? Of course not. That was a rhetorical question. He would have forever lived a cripple, in poverty, but when the king called this man answered. And to him was granted greatness, that he had never lifted a sword to earn. Never fought a battle, never did any work, what so ever. David gave him mercy! As God gave you! David was a man after Gods own heart! He desires mercy! Not vengeance, not retribution. When Davids son rebelled against him, David order was, not to harm a hair on his head. When Davids son was killed anyway, David mourned his son, as if his son had never wronged him. Adam was the first created man, Adam fell. Adam was given great authority, and let sin into the world, with that authority. Adam tasted the first sting of death, as promised him. The world had not known the sting of death, before Adam. The first animals that died, were blood sacrifice, by God. To provide clothing for Adam and Eve. Thus started the blood sacrifice for atonement for sin. If God must sacrifice one of His animals to cover up, the knowledge of your sin Adam, then blood must be spilled to cover the atonement sin. Thus it began. The Christ said, that Light has come into the world, but man wants darkness. This is true. For the true blood, for mankind, has been spilled, the blood that covers you in your inequity. Is there. But man keeps telling you what you have to do. Man lies. God doesnt. Man fights for darkness, God is light. Darkness will pose as light. God desired mercy! Some will say, God created evil. Evil will say, the same. God created freewill. And knew what man would do with it. This is why, God had the second Adam, an Adam that could carry out Gods plan. And not making God a lie, shed His own blood to cover your naked inequity. This second Adam, is God! God came down, in a human form, and shed His blood to redeem you! Why? God desires mercy! God does not want to see you at the Throne of Judgement. John 3:16-17 Amplified Bible (AMP) 16 For God so greatly loved and dearly prized the world that He [even] gave up His only begotten ([a]unique) Son, so that whoever believes in (trusts in, clings to, relies on) Him shall not perish (come to destruction, be lost) but have eternal (everlasting) life. 17 For God did not send the Son into the world in order to judge (to reject, to condemn, to pass sentence on) the world, but that the world might find salvation and be made safe and sound through Him. Now some will say, because God knew satan and man would fall, that God created evil. This is another trick of evil. God created the ability for the two greatest powers, other than Him, to do evil, God knew what they would do. God knew satan would fall, God knew man would fall. God created a redemption for man. But not satan, why? Have you ever heard a demon ask for redemption? They do not. As the Word says, God knows the desire of your heart. And will grant it to you. Lucifer and his demons, 2/3 of mankind, their desire is evil. Well if you know what a person will do; did you make them do it? No. What if you made a way for a person, you knew would do wrong? That you did not need to do so? Would you call that grace? I would. As we can see, from what God says, to have a heart like His, is to desire mercy. This is why, God knowing the first Adam would fall, designed the second Adam into the evolution of man. This second Adam, that evolved in Gods plan was God Himself. The Christ. For as God says, I alone save you! No man can. Man, created your downfall, man seeks your downfall. For as God brought light into the world, man loves darkness. The very words of the Christ. In conclusion, man failed you from the beginning of time. Man was given all the power, man needed. God came down and executed none of the power of God, to save you. God cam down offering mercy. The same thing David wanted, God offered you His heart. The same thing He showed Adam. When God did not exercise righteous judgment right then, right there and end mankind. Same with Noah. As man and as fallen angels, choose darkness, Gods elect (that small group that wants light, that God .knows from the beginning of time) walk forward in Gods plan. As youre reading this, if you are one that seeks darkness, it will be a joke to you. As youre reading this, if something in your heart desires mercy, it just might ring home. There might be something different about you. Good day. Simple Man https://youtube/watch?v=sMmTkKz60W8
