Christian Beliefs Exposed!!! Jesus made it clear that crucifixion was not his purpose (Matt. 9:13, 12:7, Mark 1:38, Luke 4:43, 19:10). Then he added, Now go and learn the meaning of this Scripture: I want you to show mercy, not offer sacrifices. For I have come to call not those who think they are righteous, but those who who know they are sinners. [Matt. 9:13] But you would not have condemned my innocent disciples if you knew the meaning of this Scripture: I want you to show mercy, not offer sacrifices. [Matt. 12:7] But Jesus replied, We MUST go on to other towns as well, and I will preach to them, too. That is why I came. [Mark 1:38] But he replied, I MUST preach the gospel of the kingdom of God in other towns, too; because that is why I was sent. [Luke 4:43] For the son of man came to to seek and save those who are lost. [Luke 19:10] The apostles did not believe Jesus rose from the dead (Matt. 28:17, Mark 16:14, Luke 24:11). When they saw him, they worshiped him-but some of them DOUBTED! [Matt. 28:17] Still later he appeared to the eleven disciples as they were eating together. He rebuked them for their stubborn unbelief because they refused to believe those who had seen him after he was risen. [Mark 16:14] But the story sounded like nonsense to the men, so THEY DIDNT BELIEVE IT. [Luke 24:11] The apostles did not expect Jesus to rise from the dead (Matt. 16:22, Mark 9:30-32) But Peter took him aside and began to reprimand him for saying such things. Heaven forbid, Lord, he said, This WILL NEVER HAPPEN TO YOU. [Matt. 16:22] Leaving that region, they travelled through Galilee. Jesus didnt want anyone to know he was there, for he wanted to spend more time with his disciples and teach them. He said to them, The son of man is going to be betrayed into the hands of his enemies. He will be killed, but three days later he will rise from the dead. They didnt understand what he was saying, however, and they were afraid to ask him what he meant. [Mark 9:30-32] Jesus never foretold his crucifixion (Psalms 20:6, 18:50, Matt. 26:39) Now I know that the Lord rescues his anointed king. He answered him from his holy heaven and rescue him by his great power. [Psalm 20:6] You give great victories to your king; you show unfailing love to your anointed, to David and ALL his descendants FOREVER. [Psalm 18:50] He went on a little farther and fell on his face to the ground, praying, My Father! If it is possible, let this cup of suffering be taken away from me. Yet I want your will to be done not mine. [Matt. 26:39] Jesus did not want to die, he was unwilling (Mark 14:35-36, Luke 22:42-43) He went on a little farther and fell to the ground. He prayed that, if it were possible, the awful hour awaiting him might pass him by. Abba, Father, he cried out, everything is possible for you. Please take this cup of suffering away from me. Yet I want your will to be done, not mine. [Mark 14:35-36] Father, if you are willing please take this cup of suffering away from me. Yet I want your will to be done, not mine. Then an angel from heaven appeared and strengthened him. [Luke 22:42-43] God promised to save the Messiah (1 Chron.16:22, 2Chron. 6:42, Psalms 28:8) Do not touch my chosen people, and do not hurt my prophets. [1 Chronicles 16:22] O Lord God, do not reject the king you have anointed. Remember your unfailing love for your servant David. [II Chronicles 6:42] The Lord gives his people strength. He is a safe fortress for His anointed king. [Psalm 28:8] Christians believe the exact opposite of the Bible (Proverbs 21:18) The wicked are punished in place of the godly, and traitors in place of the honest. [Proverbs 21:18] The Bible rejects human sacrifice (Deu. 12:31, 2 Kings 17:17) You MUST not worship the Lord your God the way the other nations worship their gods, for they perform for their gods every detestable act that the Lord hates. They even burn their sons and daughters as sacrifices to their gods. [Deuteronomy 12:31] They even sacrificed their own sons and daughters in the fire. They consulted fortune-tellers and practiced sorcery and sold themselves to evil, arousing the Lords anger. [II Kings 17:17] May God guide whom He wills. Amen.
