Christian Cook had to write an essay over spring break about someone who was a hero... I had no idea. My hero is someone who doesnt fight crime and doesnt have super powers. My hero teaches, my hero is my mom who helps everyone she knows everyday. No matter how tired she is, my hero will never say no to anyone who needs help. Every Saturday and Sunday morning she is working on finding new and cool stuff for class. We did a lot of cool things in math, for example we did a robot project using decimals that my mom worked very hard to put together. My mom works very hard to make sure that everyone in my family has what they need. She came to work at PLAID because my sister has dyslexia and could not go to regular school. She works an extra job on the weekends so that we can send her to a smaller school. She is always helping out my grandma and my aunt with my cousin Riley, even when she is very tired. Sometimes I do not appreciate how hard she works for us all, but she is always working to make our lives better. My mom is always helping the people in our community too. Sometimes when our neighbors have to go to work, she will watch their kids and babies, even though she knows that it drives me crazy. She is always looking for people to give things to, and always looking to help everyone in our community.
