Christian crawled today!! I cant believe it! I dont have a good video, but as soon as he does it again I will record it and post. On other news... Christian is still struggling with his stomach. He was diagnosed with a rare dieseas called Esinophilic esophagitis in December of 2013. We have been struggling to get it under control since then, and when we do feel like he is getting better, he takes a step back. Last Monday he had a GI appointment and we were told that he wasnt eating enough at one time and if he cant handle more in his stomach then he will need surgery to put a tube into his intestines to feed him. She also said that if he doesnt start eating food by mouth now he will be dependant on the gtube his whole life. So she adjusted his feedings, added more volume and had us start on baby food. Christian did not tolerate the changes. He stomach became inflamed, he has been creating a ton of mucus in his stomach and is now vomiting constantly. We were told to stop the baby food. It has been 3 days since then and he is no longer vomiting all day but continues to have a lot of gas. He is now scheduled to have a EGD done on Tuesday to look at his esophagus and stomach and take samples to check the number of esinophils that are in there. I just dont know what to do at this point. I am scared for his future, its the hardest thing not knowing what is wrong with your child or knowing how to fix it. Please say extra prayers for Christian.
