Christian thought of the day. Free from men. Verse of the Day: Then came one of the rulers of the synagogue named Jairus, who, having insight, fell at his feet, and besought him greatly Prayer: My little daughter is at the end, come and lay -lui hands, so she may be healed and live. Mark 5.22-23 Comment: Jairus in Capernaum synagogue ruler, lives a difficult time: his twelve year old girl is about to die. Nobody seems to be able to save her. What do you do? Give up, resign themselves? Absolutely not! He throws himself at the feet of the Master claiming a miracle ... No longer live under the influence of men: be free Jairus waited for her daughter to be on the brink of death before making the decision to go to Jesus. Yet this religious leader knew the miracles of Jesus. He had seen the Lord in his own synagogue in Capernaum deliver a captive (Mark 1.21-26), then heal a man who had the withered hand (Mark 3.1-5), not to mention all the cures wrought by the Savior in this region .dropoff window Yes, Jairus knew perfectly Jesus at work in its own assembly. And yet ... he waited for her daughter to the point of death before shouting to the Lord. Why? Religious leaders saw a dim view of the person of Jesus, up to say that he was possessed by Beelzebub, that it was by the prince of demons he cast out demons (Mark 3.22). Jairus probably lived in fear, he feared getting into trouble with the religious authorities if he showed favor to Jesus. Faced with this constraint, however, he made a decision: he went to Jesus. So much for when will we say! And you, are you like Jairus? Expect to be on the brink of Jesus to approach you? Are you afraid of what will tell your neighbors, your coworkers, your family and even your religious community? Are you afraid of criticism from those around you, your superiors and mockery of your spouse? Do you also afraid of losing your reputation? If this is the case, I invite you to take a stand for Jesus; no longer live under the influence of men are free!
