Christians.........If you guys are celebrating Easter on the 20th, and Passover is not until the 22nd, how are you celebrating resurrection day? The Passover comes BEFORE resurrection day, also known as the Feast of Firstfruits, so why are you celebrating the resurrection day before the Passover???????? The Feast of Firstfruits ALWAYS falls on the Sunday AFTER the Passover. As we have been saying over and over, there is NO BIBLICAL SUPPORT for the observance of Easter. There is however MANY verses about rejecting the commandments of God in order to observe the traditions of men. What makes this any different? Lev 23:5 In the first month, on the fourteenth day of the month at twilight, is the LORDs PASSOVER. Lev 23:6 And on the fifteenth day of the same month is the Feast of Unleavened Bread to the LORD; for seven days you shall eat unleavened bread. Lev 23:7 On the first day you shall have a holy convocation; you shall not do any ordinary work. Lev 23:8 But you shall present a food offering to the LORD for seven days. On the seventh day is a holy convocation; you shall not do any ordinary work. Lev 23:9 And the LORD spoke to Moses, saying, Lev 23:10 Speak to the people of Israel and say to them, When you come into the land that I give you and reap its harvest, you shall bring the sheaf of the FIRSTFRUITS of your harvest to the priest, Lev 23:11 and he shall wave the sheaf before the LORD, so that you may be accepted. On the DAY AFTER THE SABBATH the priest shall wave it. Resurrection day falls on the day AFTER the weekly Sabbath following the Passover.
