Christians are NOT under the law These videos will set you free! Paul explains in scripture, that if you turn back to the law, and try to do what is right and wrong, scripture says, it will bring you into bondage. Why, because 1 John 1 says, while we have a body that is not resurrected, we still have sin in it. And the law only does one thing, it brings forth sin. It places you in a position where you cannot do, what you want to do, when you come under it. Scripture teaches only one thing, that if you come under the law, and try to live it - you WILL NOT BE ABLE TO DO IT, and you will come under bondage. If we say that we have no sin, we deceive ourselves, and the truth is not in us. Paul lived righteous.....Romans 7 does not teach that Paul never did anything right. Romans 7 teaches us, that if we live under the law, we will be in bondage, and that we cannot be righteous with God, under the law. We are no longer under the law, therefore we have died to sin, and we live in it no longer. That doesnt mean its not in our bodies anymore, it means we have lost all consciousness of it, and are free. We dont try to live right, we stop doing that, and we see, that we are right with God, and free. The law does not reveal Jesus, and is not meant to - through the law, comes the consciousness of and bondage to sin! Stop looking at the law, its not the image of God and it cant make you righteous. Heb 10:1 For the law, having a shadow of the good things to come, and not the very image of the things, can never with these same sacrifices, which they offer continually year by year, make those who approach perfect. 2 For then would they not have ceased to be offered? For the worshipers, once purified, would have had no more consciousness of sins. 3 But in those sacrifices there is a reminder of sins every year. 4 For it is not possible that the blood of bulls and goats could take away sins. Jesus put away sin, in us. Its not through the law, its through the sacrifice of Himself. Heb 9:26 He then would have had to suffer often since the foundation of the world; but now, once at the end of the ages, He has appeared to PUT AWAY sin by the sacrifice of Himself. In Him, we have died to the law. Sin is not put away, for us, through the law, its through his sacrifice. We turn away from law, and see what He has done for us on the cross, we see that everything, we have done, and will do was taken upon Jesus on the cross, once for all. We see that eternally we have been perfected by it. We see we have no righteousness in ourselves, Jesus is our righteousness - we dont see our obedience anymore, we see the obedience of Christ, and we become it, not through what we have done, but what He has done.
