I was wearing my I rescue Dogs shirt and here is how the convo goes Cashier : OMG what type of dogs ? Me: I said mainly dachshunds and mixes and have saved a lab and some chi mixes and Im branching into saving what my heart calls for . Cashier : awww I grew up with poms and chis and love them . She then told me about her latest that past . Me: I am so sorry for your loss but I can be on the look out for one in the shelter if you would like . Have you ever considered a dachshund ? So we talk back and forth , no one was in line . Cashier: Do you have a business card ? Me: no I dont , but I have rescue cards with all my info and I handed her one. Cashier: yes this is a business card Me: No, see I call them rescue cards because businesses are out to make money and I rescue to save lives and I dont make a profit. This is not my job but my life passion. So I refuse to call them business cards. Cashier : looks at me dumbfounded for a minute then turns to me and says do you mind if I give you a hug?
