Christina asks: Anybody else always second guessing punishments? It is so hard to know where to draw the line, and what punishments are effective. We have a hard rule of no video games in the mornings before school. Today I come down and hes on the wii. I was supposed to take treats into school for his bday (last Sat), so I told him maybe tomorrow, if he can follow the rules. Well full on meltdown ensued, including me forcing him out of the house to get on the bus. Its 40 degrees, no coat, hes yelling that Im a child abuser. Neighbors are enjoying the show. Any time I punish him I feel like Im punishing myself, and its not like the consequences have any lasting positive effect.
