Christmas 1980 (a long time ago-no did not have a pet dinosaur) I received three albums. One was AC/DC Back in Black- I cant remember the other two- probably because they were no good. But remember the first time you heard AC/DC? Kinda like the first time you heard GNR. Yes-keep laughing - I am old. Probably should have a bucket list- but good rock music is timeless. So anyway I was happy but a little embarrassed about getting the album (and my mom was not thrilled but Santa came through) on Christmas morning because -well, you know- the songs and lyrics dont really go with the Christmas Day message. So why writing this today? Because my 12 yr old son has a football game this morning. And you know when they are getting older b/c they have on headphones on way to the game. Silence in the car- except music leaking from his headphones. First rap- then the unmistakable opening of a gong then the guitar riff. Big smile on my face.
