Christmas 2014: - Didnt leave the house except to water the garden and cut some herbs - Had lots of awesome daddy time with my son - Enjoyed the sunshine streaming into our place and the sounds of cicadas and birds - Hung some festive lights - Listened to Sufjan Stevens Christmas EPs, Claire Morgans live ambient mix, Pop Ambient 2009 and Nils Frahms Christmas mix - Cooked brunch - Changed lots of nappies (diapers) - Did lots of dishes - Did lots of other chores for my nursing wife - Read Nadia Bolz-Webers amazing sermon about Mary, shared by my sister-in-saw Danielle - Listened to MLKs 1967 Christmas sermon on peace - Was so relieved to hear about the release of one of the families Ive been visiting at Villawood - they must have had the best Christmas theyve had in five years of captivity - but was worried about their uncertain future with no work rights or prospect of residence - Thought of the thousands of others in immigration detention and wondered how they were doing - Was thankful for my friends and all those whove been standing up in the streets for equality and human rights in the States, here in Oz and worldwide - Continued mourning Alyssas dad; listened to an old live show by Dire Straits, one of his favorites - Enjoyed the storm - Was glad not to exchange any presents - Enjoyed seeing your celebrations here and on Instagram - Planned my next mix - Read The Hunger Games - Took a nap - Ate cookies and chocolate - Drank champagne - Cooked dinner - Watched The Trip again - Was very happy to have such a great family and a great home
