Christmas Eve Coach update: Tammy = Lucy! The owner(?) of the salvage yard saw me attending to Coachs bowls, etc. He has a very thick foreign accent and is difficult to understand. Im sure he wanted to know what I was doing, and he wanted to know if Coach was my dog. I assured him we were just setting food out. Tammy came out and I asked her name. Its Lucy. The little chihuahua showed up, but my dogs barking scared him (?) off. He scampered across 31 W and I worry about him like you would a squirrel crossing the road. Much of the straw has been pulled out of the igloo and is wet from the constant rains. I think its from whichever dog is getting the treats is digging at the straw to get to them. In the future, Ill put them in a bowl so there is less disturbance of the straw which is meant to be insulation. I replaced the straw with a fresh, dry batch. I put the standard Meaty Bone treats. But since its Christmas Eve, I added a nice, big bone and a Yellow Frog squeaky toy. I hope they go to the right doggie. 🎅🎄🎁
