Christmas Eve and I am remembering my journey to Bethlehem in - TopicsExpress

Christmas Eve and I am remembering my journey to Bethlehem in 2013. On a small tour , we were dropped off at the border by an Israeli Driver who told me this was as far as he was allowed to go. Getting out of the car with 5 people of very different ethnic and religious backgrounds me leading the charge as we walked across a checkpoint not knowing what would be on the other side. Greeted by a Palestinian guide with an abundance of energy took us on a tour I would not forget. The area of the birth of Jesus was stone caves and surrounded now with a magnificent Church. I attended a Liturgy feeling invigorated as I made my way to the spot within a holy sanctuary where Mary and her husband hid and baby Jesus was born. Touching the spot I was flushed with happiness and understanding. People from ever diverse culture, religion, and age came together seeking truth and love. I wish for all peace, glorious love and tolerance on this eve of glory.
