Christmas Message Great leaders are traders in hope and are remembered by everyone. People follow them when they give them hope. Many great leaders did not give them money or expensive cars or materials but people remember them for giving them hope and liberty from oppression and poverty. Their legacy is forever remembered because of what they have done to give hope and add value to humanity. Mahatma Ghandi (lawyer) of India gave hope to hopeless Indians when he led Indians who were oppressed and ruled by the Imperial British Monarch. Dr. Martin Luther King Jnr (Baptist Pastor) gave hope to the African Americans and helped end racial oppression and discrimination/segregation by the whites and help unite the blacks and white. Mother Theresa (Catholic nun) who gave hope to the poor and neglected people of India and other countries. Nelson Mandela who ended the apartheid rule by the whites’ minority and teach the meaning of forgiveness to the world. Each one of those great leaders gave hope to the hopeless and add value to humanity. But Jesus Christ came to give the world not just hope but an eternal hope. The hope of salvation and eternal life. Each one of those great leaders who left legacy behind has millions of followers. Each respective countries they came from remember them during one time in a year. India has national holiday in remembrance of the death of Mahatma Ghandi- the great soul of India. The United States of America has national day of remembrance for Dr. Martin Luther King Jnr . And South Africa will soon declare Remembrance Day to commemorate the death of Nelson Mandela. But for Jesus Christ, the world has set 25th of December aside to remember when Jesus was born. Whether it was correct date or not, the world has agreed that they would set this day aside to remember their Savior and the Son of God- Jesus Christ on 25th of December. Today billions of people around the world have stopped work to celebrate not the death but the birthday of Jesus Christ- the son of God. But Christmas is not the only time they remember Jesus Christ. Billions of people all around the world fall on their knees and worship praise His name, on every Sundays, Wednesdays, Saturdays, and him every day. Jesus Christ gave eternal hope to the hopeless world. May each one of us find a hopeless soul and give them hope and add value to their life. May His name be praised today and forevermore! Merry Christmas to all my friends. Nathan Ponjel
