Christmas Week Weather - 22-27 December 2014 After Winter Solstice at 2303 GMT Sunday were now heading towards Spring! On our journey we leave the 4th Sunday of Advent and head into Christmas week on a cloudy note. Monday will be windy with a few splashes of rain; although most of us should be dry and mild with highs of around an unseasonable 11 or 12. Ditto for Tuesday with highs of 13. Rain for awhile into Christmas Eve will clear and behind the cold weather front responsible, Wednesday will be clear, sunny and dry if cold. Highs of 9 celsius, 48 farenheit. Itll be a cool and frosty night for the carols and midnight mass, followed by a dry and bright Christmas Day. Itll be breezy again and cool - 8 feeling pretty nippy for the post Christmas lunch ramble. Thursday night will be cold and frosty again with thermometers below zero for many of us. Boxing Day stays settled thanks to a ridge of high pressure. It stays dry but cold with a sunny spells, variable cloud and highs of only 7. Make the most of the calm conditions as theres every indication that things turn wet and windy as we head into next weekend.
