Christmas and Hanukkah are when we give and receive presents, but today I got a really special gift. The forever and beautiful memories of the heart. We were cleaning out my fathers study (which never seems to get done) and found my his love letters to my mother and many of our letters to and from my family when traveling. My father literally described his life with the written word and pasted pictures in those black and white notebooks. We found the diary of our 2 month trip by car to Mexico when I was 16 and still search for our 2 month trip out west when I was 15. It was a special day of brother and sisters remembering and reminiscing about our family and all of the wonderful and adventurous experiences we lived through together, I feel so blessed by my mother and father and hold them both very tightly in my heart. Same with my brother and sister.
