Christmas and New Year Message to Akwa Ibom People On behalf - TopicsExpress

Christmas and New Year Message to Akwa Ibom People On behalf of my immediate household and the larger family of the All Progressives Congress (APC) in Akwa Ibom State, I want to wish all the good people of our dear state Merry Christmas and a very Prosperous New Year. I am pleased to use the opportunity of this season of love to acknowledge and thank you all for your goodwill and steadfast love for me and all that concerns me as demonstrated in your abiding support for my governorship project and our great Party, the APC, in spite of all the obstacles placed on your way by those who are afraid of free choice. As we enter the New Year for the decisive phase of the campaign to take back our state and implement the change that we dearly need, I feel a call of duty to remind you all that the choice before us is crystal clear. The choice is between a new direction that leads to prosperity for all Akwa Ibom people and a continuation of the current regime of unspeakable affluence for a tiny, privileged few. The choice is between party and candidates who offer love, mutual respect, peace, unity and brotherhood on the one hand and those who have chosen the path of division, impunity, contempt for others and domination of all by one family, on the other. My dear people, you have to choose between those who boast that they have the right to appoint a governor for you and those who believe that the power to choose a governor belongs to the good people of the state. As you are well aware, my Party (APC) and I believe in your right to choose your leaders; we believe in your right to the wealth of Akwa Ibom State, your right to be free from poverty. That is the change we promise you. So continue the good fight and persevere, for victory is near. The good Lord that has brought us this far will see us to a victorious end. Once again, I wish you all Merry Christmas and a Prosperous New Year. Signed: Mr. Umana Okon Umana
