Christmas in New York, Video No. 25A The Saks Fifth Avenue Christmas windows, probably the most seen department store windows because the store is next door to St. Patricks Cathedral and right across the street from the Rockefeller Center Christmas tree. So these windows had better be good, and they usually are. This years theme is Once Upon a Time in New York, and features Cinderella,Little Red Riding Hood and the Wolf, Rumpelstiltskin, Rapunzel, Sleeping Beauty and Snow White. They are nicely animated and very well done. The Saks windows are part of my yearly Christmas walk, and sometimes I go back to see them again and again (if I can tolerate the huge crowds). After the windows, in this video youll see part of the light show that happens on the building face. If youre on the tree side of Fifth Avenue, you can watch the show, set to music. The video doesnt adequately depict how much fun the show is.
