Christmas is a time of forgiveness, a full pardon from the pain - TopicsExpress

Christmas is a time of forgiveness, a full pardon from the pain and the penalty of sin. Forgiveness is a new beginning. We are getting ready to begin the next journey of life 2015. As a part of the Lords prayer, Jesus instructs us that forgiveness is the foundation of a relationship with our Heavenly Father. Jesus makes it very clear. You cannot have a right relationship with God, and have a wrong relationship with Gods children. It is wrong for us to judge whether or not someone has a relationship with God. That is between that person and God, not you and that person. I have heard many times, I have forgiven, but I will never forget. When you think like this, you really have not forgiven, and you are only deceiving yourself. Forgiveness is not an option; you must forgive if you are going to live in favor of God. Matthew 6:14-15 ( 14 For if you forgive other people when they sin against you, your heavenly Father will also forgive you. 15 But if you do not forgive others their sins, your Father will not forgive your sins.) Forgiveness is cleansing for our Souls, not whitewashing. Forgiveness is a full pardon from the pain and penalty of sin. Forgiveness wipes away all sins. It is the key that unlocks the door of resentment. Forgiveness is born when we forgive completely. Forgiveness is the act of confession followed by being filled with the blood drawn from our Saviors veins. How can any of us pray the Lords prayer and say, Forgive me of my trespasses, as I FORGIVE THOSE WHO TRESPASS AGAINST ME. Forgive us our trespasses as we forgive those who trespass against us. The forgiveness of little things and the forgiveness of very great things; our Fathers forgiveness of us and our forgiveness of others. We all have been hurt by others. The first step to the healing process is to forgive. How can you forgive and forget? By allowing God to take care of you. I promise you if you are holding a grudge against someone who hurt you, and you make the effort to forgive, God will remove the hostility that is in your heart. I speak from experience. You say, I have forgiven.....have you? God has forgiven us, and He doesnt hold anything against us or back from us. In fact, once we ask for forgiveness, He not only forgives us, He does not remember our sins. We are the ones who rehash the past. God is waiting for you to talk to Him. He wants to help you and remove the pain and anger in your heart and in your life. God bless you, and your loved ones. Christmas is the time to forgive others.
