Christmas is not always a joyous time. This will be a difficult holiday for those who have lost a loved one. Many of my friends and family have gone through or will have surgery this week; the hospitals are full. However, we have a great hope, we have a great God who loves us so much He sent His Son so we might have abundant life. The following scripture has always expressed my heart and I pray it will give hope to those who are having a hard time this Christmas. The thought of my suffering and homelessness is bitter beyond words. I will never forget this awful time, as I grieve over my loss. Yet I still dare to hope when I remember this: The faithful love of the Lord never ends! His mercies never cease. Great is His faithfulness; Hs mercies begin afresh each morning. I say to myself, The Lord is my inheritance; therefore, I will hope in Him! The Lord is good to those who depend on Him, to those who search for Him. Lamentations 3:19-25
