Christmas plus a day... I hope everyone had a magnificent Christmas. We gathered over the days with family and friends and shared so much love and laughter. I played classical Christmas pretty much 24/7 and the soundtrack of the days lifted spirits all around. Now here here we are - the day after - and time for a short reflection... I wanted, as you can imagine, to say so many things over the past week in regards to events of the world... but I held back. So often I can feel the heat in me rise over circumstances that defy imagination. And too often they drive me to a boil. So I let hackings, gunfire, more senseless killing and the rest have their holiday and moment in time without my interference. One thing I know and will share here, is that the freedoms we enjoy in our country and our lives, come with a price tag. So many, braver than I, have fought for these freedoms that we all enjoy... and ALL I HAVE TO DO, is simply act RESPONSIBLY for their efforts and enjoy those freedoms with wisdom, compassion and a certain human moral center that is wired in each of us. In the coming year I will not comment too much or heat up on the events themselves as the world and our unsteady future unfolds. I will continue to pray for peace and Gods light to shine on us all - to shed clarity on the bigger picture of this incredible journey and opportunity of life. I will do this first and foremost for myself. I do not like rage, I do not enjoy temper - they drive me away from the light and love. I love giving gifts, far more than receiving but this is the gift Im giving myself; a break from the noise, the deterrents to the life I deserve and want... and I know is out there. LOVE to you all and your families, prayers for those who are hurting. Be responsible... so many have sacrificed themselves for us and that which we enjoy.
