Christmas shopping with Lisa: You know, Rosie really wants an Easy Bake Oven for Christmas, but I dont want to get it, because they really dont work very well, and I told Rosie that. Me: What did she say? Lisa: She said, Well, I just want to give it a little try. Me: (Laughing) I dont blame her, I loved mine, even though it didnt work very well. Lisa: I have two big gifts for Nora and Hank...but nothing big for Rosie. Me: (Thinking, An Easy Bake Oven is big.) Well lets look around, maybe well find something. Lisa: (picks Legos) I think shell like these....but they still arent very big. (Puts them in the cart). Me: Those are cute, I bet shell like them. We pass a bin loaded with Easy Bake Ovens. Lisa: (Sigh....) Should I get Rosie an Easy Bake Oven? Me: Of course. Every girl needs an Easy Bake Oven...whether they work, or not. Its a rite of passage.
