Christmas vacation is here, we had a date that began with wild boar ribs at Lamberts. Then the Robert Earl Keen annual Merry Christmas to the Fam-O-Lee Concert. We leaned on a front row rail on the side of the hilariously holiday decorted stage that matches the song. The young man next to me had just proposed to his fiance at the UT Tower & we were the first people they had told. The four of us had a party together while we enjoyed a stellar & funny concert with the band dressed as 70s characters (guitar player was Mork) as they interspersed snippets of 70s tunes with REKs tunes. REK is a Tx treasure cut from the same cloth as Jerry Jeff Walker. A workingmans poet with a great wit. Andrea Davidson was the second of 3 acts on the bill, she is from Louisville Ky & she is good. God Bless You Lucas & Cassie, the road goes on forever & the party never ends............
