The nuclear engineer and graduate of Morehouse College and MIT, spoke to KIPPsters during the Lemelson N-MIT JV InvenTEAM presentation at the Childrens Museum of Houston today. Students from KIPP Polaris, KIPP Liberation, KIPP Voyage, KIPP Sunnyside HS, and KIPP Intrepid were appreciative of Mr. Copeland giving of his time. The students also took time to experiment with hands-on science and engineering activities featured at the museum and by JV InvenTEAMs. Todays event was designed to inspire middle and high school students to remain curious about their environments, fostering an essential interest in the engineering field.
