Christopher James Scanlan A suppressed reality is a depressed - TopicsExpress

Christopher James Scanlan A suppressed reality is a depressed reality. When we stuff our pieces we are causing anger. Anger turned inward comes back out as depression Many of us had to do this in order to survive in our families of origin. If we showed all our pieces we would get persecuted for them. We had to hide our true selves to survive. Thus dont talk, dont feel, dont be seen. We had to tiptoe around to stay alive....Living in fear and for some of us terror! No wonder we suffer from Panic and Anxiety attacks. Medication is not the answer. It is the equivalent of putting a band aid on a atom bomb explosion. Uncover, discover and discard to a therapist who is qualified to do this for you!!!! For me it was getting a therapist who was trained in Internal Family Systems!!!!!! And I am talking from 25 years of in and out of therapy and never really making a difference and then the last five years of IFS therapy and I am finally getting freedom and validating all of my pieces and getting free from all of this tractor trailer load of insanity....
