Chubby came to us via another rescue, she was transported cross country for us by Kats Waggin Train. On the day she arrived we were preparing to take our founder and my dad to what turned out to be his final doctors appointment. It was a crazy time in our rescue. We were dealing with his illness and impending death as well as trying to keep our numbers within a manageable number. But I couldnt turn away from this beautiful dog and her sad story and bleak future if we didnt step in. Some may have called me crazy for taking on just one more when we were already bursting at the seams but I have never regretted that decision and if I had to do it all over again I most certainly would. This was taken with two of my grandchildren on the day of her arrival.
