Chuckie/Ralph has made the news again. It is unfortunate that the wrong photo was used in the article. And that Chuckies condition was NOT reported on more in depth. Chuckies vet records indicate when Chuckies next scheduled vet visit was. But most disturbing is that Chuckies dad has expressed to us that the reporter he spoke with did not quote him correctly. If anyone has any questions, please feel free to ask them here. We will answer as soon as we possibly can. As CSamardza comments on NBC10s Facebook page: The photo used in the article is of Chuckies intake to FSAC/KCSPCA; NBC 10 did not print the photo of Chuckie after he had been in their care for 3 weeks; it is worse. The vet records from May 2013 only say the dog is due for his next visit in May 2014. So if the vet thought that was okay, why should the FSAC/KCSPCA director - who is not a vet - have the final say? The article also says FSAC/KCSPCA cannot comment - sounds like Captain Warburton had an awful lot to say in that case. And the person who got the photo on June 27 says he IS still licking. And lastly, I have seen the photos of what this dog looked like when the owner - who has never said he could not afford care for the dog - got him. Chuckies legs actually look better - especially the front legs - than when he was adopted.
