Church? Jesus said his sheep would hear his voice. This is what he told me today: I said that I would build my church on a rock and the gates of hell would not prevail against it. What is your conceptual understanding of my church? Do you think of it in conventional terms, as a collection of buildings devoted to worship? You know that it is people rather than buildings that comprise a church, yet the buildings are symbolic of much structure and organization. I also taught that wherever two or three were gathered in my name that I would be present in the midst of them. This too is a valid manifestation of my church. I want to expand your understanding of church to be broader and more inclusive that you may affirm and participate in every aspect of it.
