Church growth gurus use surveys and polls to determine what people want/do not want in Church. The Apostles only cared what the LORD wanted. The main reason that false prophets, false pastors, false teachers proliferate today is because people support them. Itching ears love lies. Because of televangelists and charlatans, false doctrines are almost universally accepted. Real BIBLE PREACHERS are now treated as heretics. This is a rebellious people ..that will not hear the law of the LORD, Which say ..speak unto us smooth things, prophesy deceits, Isa30:9. A few minutes of ecstatic music has become the spiritual high for most young Christians - not a daily, holy walk with God in His Word. Nowadays, a preacher can go broke trying to preach nothing but Bible Truth. But he can get rich telling lies. People want easy believism. Time will come ..they will not endure sound doctrine; but after their own lusts..heap to themselves teachers, having itching ears, 2Ti4:3. There are many..vain talkers.. deceivers.. Whose mouths must be stopped, who subvert whole houses, teaching things..they ought not Tit1:10 The Word of God is sharper than ANY two-edged Sword. If you want a CUTTING EDGE ministry, wield the Word of God sharply. Preach the Word.
