Church is meant for building up of the believer that they may go into the world to preach the gospel. I cannot enter a church or stay long when the focus is on anything other than the pure Word of God from which all worship and serving flows. Have you ever sat and read side by side the Authorized KJB to all the new and more vulgar paraphrases? You would be appalled at the many changes that have decreased or even abolished long held certain doctrines of the apostles and of Christ written in the original Masoratic texts. Moving against the Received Text has watered down the gospel. The heart of man knows what is truth by the Spirit of God. If there is NO truth, the Spirit of God will NOT be there to testify. THIS Is what is missing. Also, many churches today, even Charles Stanleys sons church, have music playing at levels that a sane person would find harmful to their eardrums. Its insane to think somehow that incessant, loud noise is what turns on God. Really? God is turned on by noise so loud it is harmful to this earthly vessel? THEY didnt have sound systems in the days of David, so DONT even think of going there. I have a novel idea. Turn it down. The walls shouldnt be vibrating. Its insanity. Whose making these decisions anyway, and why? Enough of my two cents. I am glad for a church intent on preaching truth and holding up the Word of God, and for music that draws one close through truth.
