Church of God lets keep reading the Scripture! This Book contains the mind of God, the state of man, the way of salvation, the doom of sinners, and the happiness of believers! This Book, its doctrine is holy, its precepts are binding, its histories are true, its decisions are immutable. Read it to be wise. Believe it to be saved. Practice it to be holy. It contains light to direct you, food to support you, comfort to cheer you. Its the travelers map, the pilgrims staff, the pilots compass, the soldiers sword, and the Christians charter. Here Heaven is open and the gates of Hell are closed. Christ is its grand subject. Our good is its design and the glory of God is its end. It should fill the memory. It should rule the heart. It should guide the feet. Read it slowly. Read it frequently. Read it prayerfully. Its a mine of wealth. Its health to the soul. Its a river of pleasure. Its given to you here in this life, it will be open in the judgment, it will be established forever. It involves our highest responsibility. It will reward the greatest labor.
