Mrs. Johnson: I am writing to tell you that you must fire Mr. Cicinelli from his position of coaching children in your little league. Mr. Cicinelli was one of six policeman who beat a homeless schizophrenic man, Kelly Thomas, TO DEATH in July 2011. The beating was captured on tape and the cops involved were taped threatening to rough him up and expressing their pleasure in it--while Mr. Kelly begged for his dad and cried Im sorry! 31 times. Mr. Thomas died five days later. Mr. Cicinelli may have been acquitted of this crime, but to parents like me who have children with schizophrenia, there is no more heinous crime. By employing Mr. Cicinelli in a capacity that he is involved with children, you are threatening the existence of those children. NO PARENT will accept that person, a murderer of a defenseless, non-criminal, sick person, and NO PARENT should have their child coached by a murderer who was filmed enjoying the beating death of a homeless man. Advocates for the mentally ill are not going to stop in insisting that the 6 Killer Cops who took the life of a mentally ill street person are held accountable. Your organization can expect numerous letters of protest and calls, and you can expect the effort to escalate if you do not immediately dismiss a murdering policeman from his job coaching children.
