AT HINDU TEMPLE, BEAVERCREEK, OHIO (Mini Dinner following the Concert) Sankaran Namboothiri, a child prodigy, learnt music from eminent artistes, Narayanan Namboodiri, T.V Gopalakrishnan, Prof. Mavelikara R. Prbhakara Varma, and late K.V Narayanaswamy. Even as an 11-year old, Sankaran Namboothiri gave a concert before Zail Singh, Indias (1982) President. His music awards include Yuva Kala Bharathi and Ganamritha Surabhi. Sankaran Namboothiri is a Grade A Artiste at All India Radio. He has performed in Australia, Britain, France, Germany, Holland, Kenya, Kuwait, Quatar, Switzerland, United Arab Emirates, and United States of America. On the light music side, his movie songs earned him the Best Playback Singer Award from Gandhi Study Center, Doordarshan Kendra and Ragam Cultural Center (Movie Nivedyam). Savita Viswanathan learned violin from Sri. N Kannan in Bhaktha Rasika Ranjani Sabha, Mumbai. She received advanced training from Smt. Sharada Murali. Savita is a recipient of many awards and prizes including the CCRT Scholarship to young Artistes, from Government of India. she has provided violin accompaniment to prominent vocalists in the U.S and India. Savita, an I.T.Consultant , lives in Cincinnati. Vasudevan Namboodiri, Ph.D. is a rightful exponent in percussion instruments. Mridangam is his specialty. He is a senior disciple of Palghat Rajamani. He has accompanied various musicians, Palghat Ramprasad, M.K. Sankaran Namboothiri and Prof. Nagamani Srinath. Dr Namboodiri is a scientist at U.S.EPA, and is well read in his field of Chemistry. *********************
